Buses
Urban bus services are run by the Egged Cooperative in West Jerusalem and local Arab companies in East Jerusalem. Frequent bus service to all parts of the city start at 5:30am and stop between 9:00pm and midnight, depending on the route. Regular public transport, except for the Arab bus lines, ceases shortly before Shabbat and festivals, and resumes immediately after their termination. The hours of the Light Rail are similar. Fares for both are NIS 5.90 for a single trip or you can purchase a "Rav-Kav" card for multiple trips on either the bus or light rail (same card for both).
You are able to transfer buses, and/or use the light rail for the same fair within 90 minutes. Jerusalem Egged Bus Information: (03) 6948888,
